The Musée Picasso housed in Hotel Salé is located in Le Marais in the third district of Paris. The museum closed its doors to rebuild, restore and modernize it.
The renewed museum opened on October 25, 2014 for the public. The museum gives an overview of Pablo Picasso’s total work.
On the third floor, since 2014, the artist’s art collection has come to an end. The collection in the Musée Picasso Paris includes more than 5000 works and tens of thousands of archive pieces, including sketches, studies, drawings, sketchbooks, engravings, photographs, illustrated books and documents.
The Hotel Salé has been a historic monument since 1968 and is definitely worth a visit. Certainly as a museum of course, but also as an architectural work of art.
Both the outside and the inside with the breathtaking beautiful staircase is worth your attention.
There is no better place to host Pablo Picasso’s work and no better way to say goodbye for now to Paris by seeing this beautiful place!
